Ombré & Microblading Frequently Asked Questions for Isabella Lucia Studios:
What are Ombré Brows & Microblading? What is the difference between the two?
Both are techniques that enhance your natural eyebrows. This opens a wide spectrum for clients that suffer from natural density, alopecia, or hair loss due to chemotherapy.
Ombré Brows are more universal and can be done on any skin type. This is because it is a lot less abrasive than Microblading and uses an automatic hand held machine to shade the pigment into the skin. When shading, the front of the brow will be slightly lighter and will gradually get darker towards the tail of the brow, giving the brows a soft, natural, ombré effect. Where as Microblading requires a very specific candidate and uses a manual hand held tool to cut hair like strokes into the skin; pigment is then deposited into these cuts.
Overtime the Ombré technique holds its shape better and heals softer over time. Whereas Microblading does not hold its shape as well and sometimes the strokes can blur over time causing them to lose their hair stroke like effect. It is recommended for all Microblading clients that some shading be incorporated into their eyebrows.
How long does it last?
Depending on the client’s lifestyle, skin type, and how well they follow the after care instructions, the results can last anywhere from 8 months up to 4 years.
Do I have to get 2 sessions?
While the second session is not needed, it is recommended that each client comes back 6 weeks after their initial session for a follow up appointment. This is to ensure that the you are happy with your new brows and to confirm whether or a not a touch up is needed.
Does it hurt?
Each person is different, some clients say they are able to feel it, but that the pain is bearable, especially after numbing is applied.
Do you use a new needle for each person?
Absolutely! All needles and products are disposable. Any equipment used is cleaned & sterilized after each client. Isabella also has several certifications and her Blood Borne Pathogens certificate.
Will I be swollen?
You may experience slight swelling and redness around your brows after your appointment. Any swelling or redness will go away after a few hours.
What will I look like after/during the healing process?
Your brows will look intense at first, but you are still able to go about your day and run your errands. Your brows will heal and soften about 30%-40% 10-14 days after your appointment.
How long does this usually take?
About 3-4 hours. Please allow plenty of time as Isabella wants to take her time and ensure that all of her clients feel comfortable during the whole process.

We apply specific techniques and products to ensure that you have the most durable and water resistant makeup. However, we recommend that if you do cry, sweat, or have any other need/desire to touch your face, that you pat, tap, or dap your skin vs. scratching, wiping, or rubbing as this could move or mess up the makeup.
